Fulltone Full-Drive1 Overdrive Pedal
Yes it’s true, finally the sound of a late 90s to early 2000s Fulldrive with-OUT the boost channel! Simple as it comes… with Volume, Tone, Drive, and toggle bringing back the Flat-Mids (FM), Vintage, and the infamous (for assaulting the front end of tube amps) Comp-Cut (CC) modes. Simple True-Bypass switching, 9-18 volt operation. No need to find and pay $400-$600 for a 90’s FD2 anymore.
Soundwise? I’m talking about the exact (full midrange) Comp-Cut that was in the earliest FD2s, not the Flatter mids CC in later models. So even though the FD-1 will have the Flat-Mids mode, the Comp-Cut is the fuller-mids version identical to the “pre FM / pre-MOSFET” versions of the FD2. This tiny pedal is the size of our Mas-Malo, with top-mounted (also called rear mounted) jacks & power port, and a JRC4558 chip for your go-to overdrive sound. Come home.

It’s a much, much smaller than the ST-1 at only 3.9″ wide x 4″ deep, and more intelligent version of the epic Supa-Trem1. The Ruby Red is a collaboration with one of our favorite artists, producers, and writers in the industry, Butch Walker. He is most known for his breakout work in the Marvelous 3, as well as his long list of producing successes afterward such as: Pete Yorn, Pink, The Academy Is, Weezer, Panic! At The Disco, Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry, Keith Urban, Fallout Boy, Ryan Adams, and many more. As one of the busiest and most in-demand guys in the industry, when he isn’t in the studio, he’s on a stage. Butch contacted us to let us know that he loved the SuperBolt and had been using it in session after session. We started a conversation about his live rig for upcoming dates, and the rest is history. He needed one pedal that could do everything he needed and do it in the simplest and easiest way possible. Primarily playing a cranked Deluxe Reverb and depending on his guitar’s volume control for much of his dynamics, the pedal had to respond like an amp as well as feel like it was an extension of his amp. This is how the Ruby Red was created.

It’s most common application is receiving a buffered signal through long cabling from its companion product–the CLEARLINK SEND–at the tail end of a Pedal Board and converting the XLR balanced signal that transmits back to a ¼” unbalanced signal appropriately matched for feeding an instrument amplifier.

With a high quality buffer and +12dB of available output gain, it has the ability to drive cable runs of up to 330 Ft./100M before noticeable degradation, when added in-line on the feed from Pedal Board to Amplifier. When combined with a STOWAWAY™ INPUT BUFFER on the Instrument, the CLEARLINK SEND forms an “Effects Loop” for the Instrument-Pedal Board-Amp signal chain that will reclaim the integrity of your sound through boosted levels and buffering or impedance matching.
